Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November of 1985 in Los Angeles. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley while her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix demonstrated a talent for athletics before she realized her ability to sprint when she was a student at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks after her first trial. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school signing a professional contract with the sports organization Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary school. The following year, Felix was awarded her debut Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting an all-time junior world record running 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest World Champion in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships. She retained her title in 2007, surpassing her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in her first Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo regularly placing in the top three places in all her competitions.
